Two years ago an old friend of my brother contacted my brother again. Bert (his name) had a successful career as an IT-specialist, but he always dreamed about making animation movies. And since my brother, who is an illustrator, was the nearest step for him to an animation movie, he called him. Bert had no idea how to make animation movies and neither had my brother. But they talked about it for a few weeks and one day Bert decided to quit his job and to give himself a year to learn it. I don’t know what his income was, but these are brave decisions.
To cut a long story short: Bert learned to make animation movies. None of the movies that he and my brother made were successful, and after one and a half year Bert had no money to continue, so he started working in the IT-business again. But evert now and then he makes a little animation movie. Like this clip for a Depeche Mode song, which is basically just one-drawing-with-animation-effects. Since it had only 32 hits when I saw it today, I thought to mention it here.
