Wormhole

The first time i saw the Hollywood visualisation of a wormhole, was in the movie “Contact”. The whole movie, but especially the scenes where Jodie Foster travels through a wormhole, gave me goosebumps, because it looked as if somebody had filmed some experiences that had happened to me a few yeare earlier. Later i found out that many people had “wormhole experiences” during meditations.
Succesful artistic expressions, in this case images, are always made part of everyday culture and from then on used by people who haven’t a clue about their origin. The way wormholes are depicted in movies has become so common, that even five year old children know what it is. But do they really know? I doubt it.
