Stained glass newspaper pictures revisited

One of the projects that I do/did is edit newspaper pictures with a black marker pen. (You can see some examples here.) A while ago I got the idea to cut out all the fleshy parts from the photo’s. But that is more time consuming than I could afford right away, and the whole project lost a bit of it’s attraction to me anyway, but last night I had nothing to do and I thought: let’s give it a try.
This is the result:

My first idea was to replace the fleshy parts with bible texts(flesh made Word again), so it would look something like this:

But the result is not as spectacular as I hoped it would be.
Maybe this is a better idea:

But I don’t know. I want to make more examples first. So, to be continued!

De witte gezichten hebben het meeste zeggingskracht: dit had ik kunnen zijn, is wat ze zeggen.

Misschien moet je eens wat inspiratie opdoen bij het werk van Paul Faassen <http://www.paulfaassen.nl>,d die lijkt altijd bezig te zijn met zich af te vragen wat de gekozen vorm helpt uit te drukken in zijn tekeningen.
