Whenever I see a cassette that seems to be hometaped, I buy it. Usually I buy whole boxes. Often i get them for free or find them on the street. I listen to all the tapes before throwing them away, and i record everything that sounds interesting on minidisc. It is a lot of work, but it pays of. Of course, I have spend many hours listening to crap, but it is surprising how much interesting sounds can be found on tape. I have found more spoken word than music, which I don’t mind at all, because i love spoken word, especially regression therapy sessions, answering machine tapes and stuff like that. But I guess that not everybody who is reading this blog shares my taste here.
This is a cassette that I don’t know anything about. It contains one track and it is called Susanne. It sounds like an 80’s demo, recorded with a vacuum cleaner, by a bunch of guys on speed. And for those among you who don’t speak Dutch, the lyrics are about a girl with big bumpers. Brilliant song!
