This is the text on a label that I made long ago for a cassette compilation:
I named the tape ”The Voice of Kurdistan” and sent copies to all of the people that I hoped might be interested in this material. The response was incredible: I had more than a hundred requests for a copy of this tape from all corners of the world, people sent me huge amounts of money in envelopes, there were three record labels that wanted to release this material on CD, several collectors wanted to buy the original tapes, and many magazines asked me to do an interview about this wonderful audio treasure. Sh-boom, sh-boom…
