Danny Boy

In the plastic bag with records that Dirk Koorn gave me was also this 45:

I have never heard of Danny Boy. And as far Google could tell me tonight, he never existed.
I love the version of ”All of me” by the King Odom Four, that I have on the first volume of the Dangerous DooWop LP’s. That is one of my all time favourite songs. So, there was a little expectation in the air when I laid the 45 on my turntable. This is what came out of the speakers:

.
I couldn’t figure out if this was humour or not, but it made me laugh. The guy sounds like an alien version of Louis Prima.
Here is the B-side:

.
Well, this sounds like a serious rock’n’roll record, and by far not the worst in my collection. In fact, I kind of dig it!
If there is a CD out of Danny Boy, please let me know. I would love to hear more of the man!
