I got the lettering job that I did for the fashion exhibition in the Haags Gemeentemuseum (here) through “Ernest Utermark”, who works there. He has been sending me packages with all kind of goodies for many years. In these packages are always some records, but in the last package were also four special pencils:
It are Stabilo Woody’s, in the colours white, black, silver and gold. Ernest had bought these for the cards that I lettered, but I didn’t use them. Since I rarely buy any writing utensils anymore, this is a nice present. This are real good pencils, that write almost as fat as ink. I just tested them on a piece of cardboard:
I will sure make some drawings with these pencils, but not now: there are things that need to be done first. (The Pi-story is not done yet; more about that later!)
In the package that Ernest sent yesterday were also some records. The hit is a 45 by Anthony Quinn:
Now I have two 45’s by Anthony Quinn. On the other one he sings a duet with a little boy, but it sounds exactly the same. One day I will make a compilation with these kind of parlando records by celebrities, but for now, here is Anthony Quinn:
