Some of the images that I collect are background fragments of newspaper pictures. That collection is very dear to me , and for years I have been thinking about doing something with it. I make collages, of course, but I also wanted to make drawings based on the images that I love most. I have been trying to do that several times, but so far the result was never worth the effort
Today I tried again and came up with a few drawings that are beginning to look like what I had in mind.

When I made the scans I had forgotten to change it into colour. The Black Woman turned out to look good in black&white too:
