Sabino records

Thursday, 14 May 2009

In the boxes with cassette tapes from Jack Keuss were also some records:
I had never seen them before, but I recognised them immediately: the Sabino records! Many years ago Jack had sent me a tape with short songs sung by children, that sounded as if they were recorded on a telephone answering machine. When I asked Jack what this was, he said that it were tiny 2 inch records that had to be placed in a doll. That doll belonged to his daughter and you know what little children do with anything that is not made of titanium.
Of course I kept the original cassette tape with all the Sabino recordings. I love the ones where there is something wrong with the speed, and luckily there are quite a lot of these.
