The Spoken Newspaper (part 2)

I should have searched harder in my own collection before i wrote this story about De Sprekende Krant. I just discovered that I have several other issues. Not only Dutch ones, but also English, German and French editions.

The French editions of The Spoken Newspaper are flexi records:

I also found a leaflet with information on this project. It was meant educational. Visafoon, the company behind this project, also published other other language courses. Typically for things like these, there is little to no interest for it. When I searched the Net, I didn’t find anything.

In some of the sleeves of the records in my collection still is a newspaper, that seems to have come with some (or all?0 the records. With all the copies that I find usually both the records are never played and the newspaper has never been opened.

And here is one of the ten English records, that I happen to have in white box shaped paper sleeves. Probably you could also order the complete (?!) collection at once, without the newspapers?

ja eindelijk een mooi voorbeeld van waar ik je een tijdje geleden over mailde … ik wist wel waar ik em uiteindelijk zou tegenkomen ;-) dat wereldbolletjeslabel is jaloersmakend mooi & simpel … dat ga ik binnenkort maar eens recyclen

En toch… het zou zo weer kunnen werken voor het onderwijs! Maar nu via de computer! Uitspraak is altijd al een ondergeschoven kindje geweest bij het aanleren van talen.
