Dolf Hell lend me some one-of-one records to describe in this blog. I have not written about these records for a long time, but it still is a subject on top of my list of musical interests.
Here is one of the records from Dolf’s collection:

The record has the size of a CD and contains a Happy birthday message for a mother:

Apart from the metallic structure of this record, that it was made in the Bijenkorf, and probably at least sixty years old is, there would be no reason to write about this record. But unlike all the other one-of-one records that I know of, this record has a B-side:

And on this B-side is an advertisement song about sigarets. I have no idea who the singer is, and I cannot hear what kind of sigaret brand he sings about, but all this is very interesting! How many advertisement songs are made for this special purpose? And where are they?!?
The sound quality is as usual with these one-of-one records, but here is the best recording I could make:
